Built for your actual schedule

Most tools break if your week isn't identical every single day. Ours doesn't. If you can say it, we can automate it. Or we'll try our best, at least.

How we handle your data

What we do

  • We only ask for the Slack permissions we actually need
  • Use Google Gemini to parse your words into a status, emoji, and schedule
  • Pass Slack's Marketplace security review
  • Let you edit, override, pause, or delete any status at any time

What we don't

  • We don't read your DMs, files, or channel history
  • Store your prompts or train on your inputs
  • Sell or share your data with anyone
  • Lock you into anything. No contracts, no "are you sure?" dialogs

A note from the maker

Hi. I'm Dima.

Slack is a great tool. It has everything a team needs to stay in sync. But in the middle of a busy day, updating your status is usually the last thing on your mind. You step away for a coffee, you head to an appointment, or you finally find a window of deep focus. You don't want to stop what you are doing to click through menus.

I built AutoStatus to handle that for you. It is a simple way to keep your team informed without you having to think about it. It is about protecting your time and giving you a bit of mental space back.

I have been building Slack apps since the platform first opened ten years ago. Botsignals is a one-person company. I write the code and I answer the emails. I care about the quality because I am the one who builds it and stands behind it.

I hope it makes your workday a little easier.

Frequently asked questions

Can you schedule a Slack status in advance?+

Yes. While Slack only lets you set a status for right now, AutoStatus lets you plan for later today, tomorrow, or next week. You just tell the app your plans in plain English and we handle the update when the time comes.

How do I automate my Slack status?+

You type what is happening in the composer. For example, you can say "at the dentist until 2pm" or "focusing for an hour." The system understands the time and the context, then updates your profile and clears it when you are done.

Does the status clear itself automatically?+

It does. When your appointment ends or your focus block is over, your status is removed and your notifications return to normal. You do not have to go back into Slack to manually reset your profile.

Can I set recurring statuses for a weekly schedule?+

Yes. This is the main reason we built the tool. If you have a school run every Tuesday or a recurring Friday lunch, you can set those to repeat. It fits the patterns of your actual life so you can stay informed without checking your settings.

How is this different from Slack's built-in status settings?+

Slack has a timer to clear your status, but it cannot start one in the future or handle repetitions. AutoStatus takes care of the scheduling and the repeating on autopilot. It is designed to give you mental space by removing the need for manual clicks.

Can I schedule a vacation or away status?+

You can. If you are heading out on a trip or just stepping away for a long break, you can schedule that ahead of time. It ensures your team knows you are unavailable before you even leave your desk.

How much does AutoStatus cost?+

AutoStatus is free if you only need one active status at a time. For unlimited statuses and schedules, it is $5 per month for individuals. For an entire team, it is a flat rate of $29 per month.

How does the free trial work?+

We offer a 7-day trial for our Pro and Team plans. We ask for a credit card only when you decide to try the full version. If it isn't a fit, cancel with one click any time during the first 7 days. You won't be charged, and we won't make it hard to walk away.

Is there a free version?+

Yes. You can use AutoStatus for free forever if you only need to automate a single event, like a daily lunch break or a weekly focus block.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

You can cancel whenever you want. There's a link in your settings to manage your plan through Stripe. One click and it's done. We don't hide the exit or make it hard to walk away.

Okay, let's see it in action
