It keeps repeating.

Describe the routine in one sentence. AutoStatus handles the emoji, status, timing, recurrence, and clearing—without rebuilding the same schedule every day or week.

How we handle your data

What we do

  • We only ask for the Slack permissions we actually need
  • Use Google Gemini to parse your words into a status, emoji, and schedule
  • Pass Slack's Marketplace security review
  • Let you edit, override, pause, or delete any status at any time

What we don't

  • We don't read your DMs, files, or channel history
  • Store your prompts or train on your inputs
  • Sell or share your data with anyone
  • Lock you into anything. No contracts, no "are you sure?" dialogs

A note from the maker

Hi. I'm Dima.

Slack is a great tool. It has everything a team needs to stay in sync. But in the middle of a busy day, updating your status is usually the last thing on your mind. You step away for a coffee, you head to an appointment, or you finally find a window of deep focus. You don't want to stop what you are doing to click through menus.

I built AutoStatus to handle that for you. It is a simple way to keep your team informed without you having to think about it. It is about protecting your time and giving you a bit of mental space back.

I have been building Slack apps since the platform first opened ten years ago. Botsignals is a one-person company. I write the code and I answer the emails. I care about the quality because I am the one who builds it and stands behind it.

I hope it makes your workday a little easier.

Questions

How recurring Slack status automation works.

Short answers about Slack's native scheduling, recurring routines, automatic clearing, pricing, and security.

Can Slack schedule a status in advance?+

Yes. Slack now lets you schedule up to five statuses with a future start and end time. AutoStatus goes further for repeating routines: describe a daily, weekly, or custom pattern in plain English once, and it keeps running automatically.

How do I automate a recurring Slack status?+

Type the routine in the composer, such as "lunch every weekday at noon for one hour" or "focus time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 to 11." AutoStatus understands the pattern, updates your profile at the right time, and clears it after every occurrence.

Does the status clear itself automatically?+

It does. When your appointment ends or your focus block is over, the status expires automatically. You do not have to go back into Slack to manually reset your profile.

Can I set recurring statuses for a weekly schedule?+

Yes. This is the main reason we built the tool. If you have a school run every Tuesday or a recurring Friday lunch, you can set those to repeat. It fits the patterns of your actual life so you can stay informed without checking your settings.

How is this different from Slack's built-in scheduled statuses?+

Slack's built-in feature is useful for scheduling up to five statuses with a start and end time. AutoStatus is built for routines that repeat: daily lunches, weekly focus blocks, school runs, office hours, and custom patterns created from one plain-English sentence.

Can I schedule a vacation or away status?+

You can. If you are heading out on a trip or just stepping away for a long break, you can schedule that ahead of time. It ensures your team knows you are unavailable before you even leave your desk.

How much does AutoStatus cost?+

AutoStatus is free for one active recurring schedule. Pro includes unlimited personal recurring schedules for $29 per year. Workspace is $290 per year or $29 month-to-month.

Why is Pro billed annually?+

Annual billing keeps Pro simple and affordable at $29 per year. The Free plan does not expire, so you can automate one repeating schedule for as long as you like before upgrading.

Is there a free version?+

Yes. You can use AutoStatus free forever for one repeating schedule, such as a daily lunch break or weekly focus block.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

You can cancel a paid plan before its next renewal. Pro is billed annually. Workspace can be billed annually or month-to-month and remains active through the selected billing period.
