What AutoStatus Does
AutoStatus is a Slack application that helps you schedule Slack statuses in plain English. You describe what you want, and AutoStatus can set status text, emoji, timing, recurrence, expiration, and Do Not Disturb preferences for you.
Using AutoStatus
Your Account
- You need a valid Slack account to use AutoStatus.
- You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Your workspace admin may install AutoStatus for your workspace.
Basic Rules
Don't use AutoStatus to:
- Break any laws.
- Harass, mislead, or harm others.
- Interfere with the service or attempt to access our systems without permission.
- Violate Slack's terms of service.
Your Statuses
- Status updates you create may be visible to people in your Slack workspace.
- You're responsible for the content and accuracy of statuses you schedule.
- You should not schedule statuses that are deceptive, abusive, or unlawful.
Plans and Billing
AutoStatus may offer free and paid plans. Paid features, prices, and limits may change over time. If we make material changes to paid features, we'll provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
Our Rights
What's Ours
The AutoStatus service, including all code, design, branding, and content we create, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Service Changes
We may:
- Update or modify AutoStatus at any time.
- Add, remove, or change features.
- Introduce or change usage limits if needed.
- Suspend or terminate the service.
Termination
You Can Leave
You or your workspace admin can uninstall AutoStatus from your workspace anytime. Your data remains unless you request deletion; see our Privacy Policy.
We Can Remove Access
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these terms.
- Abuse the service or other users.
- Use AutoStatus in ways that harm our systems, users, or reputation.
Disclaimers
No Warranties
AutoStatus is provided "as is" without any warranties. We don't guarantee:
- The service will always be available.
- It will be error-free.
- It will meet all your needs.
- Slack statuses or DND settings will always update exactly when expected.
Limited Liability
We're not liable for:
- Lost productivity, data, revenue, or opportunities.
- Missed or incorrect status updates.
- Any indirect or consequential damages.
- Issues beyond our reasonable control, including Slack outages or API changes.
Legal Stuff
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Entire Agreement
These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding AutoStatus.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll notify you via Slack or email. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
